Terminal City Blues Band
About the Band
The Terminal City Blues Band was born in Vancouver in 2011, founded by long time collaborators Cham Samara and Johnny Bland. Fusing raw blues roots with gritty rock energy, the band carved out a space in the local scene with its genre-defying style—paying homage to legends like Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath, and The Doors, while weaving in the edge of punk, the atmosphere of trip-hop, and the drive of post-punk.
After an initial run that ended in 2014 as members explored other creative paths, the band went quiet—until 2024, when overwhelming interest from fans and fellow musicians brought them roaring back to life.
Now recharged and writing again, Terminal City Blues Band is bringing their distinctive blend of classic blues-rock and modern edge back to live stages.
Past Performances Include:
The Wise Hall, The Waldorf Hotel, The Anza Club, The Railway Club, Pandora Studios, Shangri-La Hotel (New Year’s Eve 2014), and street festivals like Make Music Vancouver and the Lumiere Festival and many more.
